The Canadian Special Air Service is a special forces unit of the Canadian Army formed during World War II.
Organization[]
The Company was formed as a standard infantry company with a company headquarters and three platoons; a fourth "services" platoon added in 1948. The unit had no distinctive insignia. Currently the Canadian SAS is composed of two platoon which are divided into four squadrons each.
