The People's Air Guard (PAG) is the air force militia component of each American republic and the Washington City District. It is, along with the People's Army Guard, an element of the republic's People's Guard. The republics' People's Air Guards are theoretically under the jurisdiction of the Chairman of the Republic. However, in practice, the People's Air Guards merely serve as locally-funded branches of the American People's Army Air Force under federal control.
