Kowel (Ukrainian: Ковель, Kovel; Russian: Ковель, Kovel’; Yiddish: קאָוועל, Kovel) is a town in Wołyń Voivodeship in southeastern Poland, serving as the capital of Kowel County. It has a population of 68,912.

Kowel gives its name to one of the oldest Runic inscriptions, which was lost during World War II. The Kowel spearhead, unearthed near the town in 1858, contained text in the Gothic language.
