Jonathan Jason Shepard was an admiral in the Royal Canadian Navy during the middle World War II in charge of Battlegroup Able-Seven (which included the aircraft carriers HMCS Vimy Ridge and HMCS Bonaventure.[1]
Several months later, Admiral Shepard would be killed in action during a Japanese attack on Battlegroup Able-Seven.[2]
