DDL from Navy News September 72

A 1972 concept for the the Hunter-class destroyer.

The Hunter-class destroyer is a class of destroyer developed for the Royal Australian Navy in the 1960s to replace the aging River-class destroyer escorts and Daring-class destroyers. The Hunter was launched in 1973 and commissioned in 1976. Ten of these vessels were built, all named after rivers in Australia.

This is the AAOverse version of the Australian light destroyer that was planned in the 1960s and 1970s before the Australian government decided to purchase the Oliver Hazard Perry-class guided missile frigates from the United States.
