HMS Foresight (H68)

The HMS Foresight (H68) was one of nine F-class destroyer of the Royal Navy.

Foresight was laid down on July 21st 1933 at the Cammell Laird shipyard in Birkenhead, launched on June 29th 1934, and commissioned on May 15th 1935. Foresight would be decommissioned in late 1943 after being declared CTL due to battle damage.

On June 18th 1941, Foresight took part in the sinking of the German submarine U-138 west of Spain, together with her sister ships HMS Faulknor, HMS Fearless, HMS Forester and HMS Foxhound.

On June 27th 1943, Foresight was part of a taskforce that took part in the Battle of North Borneo. During the battle, Foresight took extensive damage. After making it back to Singapore, Foresight was inspected and declared as a constructive total loss.[1]
