The East Prussian Voivodeship (Polish: Województwo Pruski Wschód; German: Ostpreußischen Woiwodschaft) is one of Poland's eighteen voivodeships (provinces). It is the newest voivodeship, created in 1949 with the annexation of the former German exclave of East Prussia, which was part of the Polish Zone of Occupation after World War II. It has an area of 36,993 km2 and a population of 2.3 million, mostly Poles, with German and Lithuanian minorities.
