The Douglas DC-2 is a 14-seat, twin-engined airliner that was produced by the American company Douglas Aircraft Company starting in 1934, though entry into service was delayed by Douglas's relocation to Canada during the Second American Civil War. The DC-2 served as the basis for the Douglas/de Havilland Dh.100 which became one of the most successful aircraft in history.
