HMS Nigeria

The HMS Nigeria, one of the many Crown Colony-class light cruisers in the Royal Navy during World War II.

The Crown Colony-class was a class of light cruisers of the Second World War, named after the numerous crown colonies of the British Empire. The first eight are known as the Fiji-class, while the remaining twelve to be built are commonly referred to as the Ceylon-class and were built to a slightly modified design. The Crown Colony-class cruisers were supplemented by the Thunderchild-class light cruisers.
