The Royal Navy's China Station was a navy formation that existed from 1865 to 1941. In late 1941, the China Station was merged into the newly formed British Pacific Fleet. In December 1941, it was composed of the following units defended by the heavy cruiser Thunderchild, destroyers Scout, Tenedos, Thracian, Thanet and several other ships. It was stationed the RN Yangtze River Flotilla, West River Flotilla, 2nd MTB Flotilla and the Hong Kong Local Defence Flotilla.
After the Second World War, the RN China Station would be based in Formosa.[1]
