The Avro Canada CF-103 Canuck II was a Canadian interceptor, designed by Avro Canada in the early-to-mid 1950s as a development, and replacement of the company's CF-100 Canuck, that was entering service at the time with the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF). The Canuck II was equipped with the Raytheon MX-1179 fire control radar and Velvet Glove missiles. It was the first Canadian aircraft to achieve sustained supersonic speeds with a top speed of Mach 1.36.
